History Of Isuikwuato

Isuikwuato is a Local Government Area (LGA) is in the state of Abia, Nigeria. It is located in the southeastern region of the state and has an area of 595 km⊃2;. The population of Isuikwuato LGA is largely made up of the Igbo ethnic group. Isuikwuato LGA has also been known for its agricultural production, particularly of yam, cassava, and palm oil.

It is bordered by Bende LGA to the north, Ohafia LGA to the east, Abiriba LGA to the west, and Umunneochi LGA to the south. The LGA is situated between latitude 5.34°N and longitude 7.40°E. The area is located about 200 kilometers southeast of the state capital, Umuahia, and about 400 kilometers southeast of the federal capital, Abuja. The major towns in Isuikwuato LGA include Isuikwuato, Umunkpeyi, and Umueze.
