History Of Jama'are

Jama'are Local Government Area is located in Bauchi State, Nigeria. The headquarters of Jama'are LGA is in the town of Jama'are. It covers an area of 493 square kilometers. The postal code for Jama'are LGA is 751.

As of the 2006 census, Jama'are LGA had a population of 176,883. The estimated population is currently around 165,100. The area is populated by a Fulani tribe that migrated from Dulare in the Lake Chad basin in the Republic of Chad. Most of the inhabitants are members of the Fulani, Shirawa, and Kanuri, with the Fulani being the most prominent tribe. The commonly spoken languages in the area are Hausa and the Fulfulde languages (used by the Fulani).
