History Of Kalgo

Kalgo Local Government Area (LGA) is located in Kebbi State, Nigeria. Kalgo LGA was created in 1996 from the Bunza LGA. The headquarters of Kalgo LGA is situated in the town of Kalgo. 

Kalgo LGA covers a total land area of approximately 1,173 square kilometers. According to the 2006 census, Kalgo LGA had a population of 85,403 inhabitants. Kalgo LGA shares a western border with Bunza LGA, another local government area in Kebbi State. 

Kalgo LGA comprises several towns, villages, and rural settlements, including Danaganna, Gayi, Badariya, Kuka, Nayalwa, Magarza, Diggi, and Hirishi. The people of Kalgo LGA are predominantly Hausa and Fulani, with rich cultural traditions and practices. The Hausa and Fulfulde languages are commonly spoken in the area. The postal code assigned to Kalgo LGA is 862.
