History Of Kwami

Kwami Local Government Area is located in Gombe State, Nigeria, within the North-east region. The headquarters of the LGA is situated in the town of Mallam Sidi. Kwami LGA is bordered in the east by Lake Dadin Kowa, while Funakaye and Gombe LGAs border it to the north and south, respectively.

According to the 2006 census, the population of Kwami LGA was recorded as 195,298 people. However, the estimated current population is approximately 195,812 inhabitants. The majority of the population in Kwami LGA belongs to the Kwami tribe.

Kwami LGA is made up of several towns and villages, including Habiya, Roddo, Dukku, Maiko, Tita, Maleri, Kolori, and Jurara. The Kwami language is widely spoken in the area. The postal code for Kwami Local Government Area is 760.
