History Of Lavun

Lavun Local Government Area (LGA) is located in Niger State, Nigeria, within the North-central geopolitical zone. The headquarters of the LGA, Kutigi town, is located at coordinates 9°12′00″N 5°36′00″E. The eastern border of the Local Government Area is formed by the Kaduna River

Lavun LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Darafa, Batagi, Ekota, Esungi, and Jiga, among others. The estimated population of Lavun LGA is approximately 205,334 inhabitants.The majority of the population consists of members of the Nupe ethnic group. The Nupe language is widely spoken in Lavun LGA
