History Of Minjibir

Minjibir Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Minjibir, about 20 km northeast of the state capital Kano. It has an area of 416 km2 and a population of 213,794 at the 2006 census.The postal code of the area is 702.

Minjibir LGA is made up of several towns and villages which include Bagurawa, Dauni, Agalawa, Goda, Koya, Ladan, Zango, and Garke.  Majority of the area’s residents being from the Hausa and Fulani ethnic sub-divisions. The Hausa language is commonly spoken.
