History Of Njaba

Njaba Local Government Area (LGA) is situated in Imo State, Nigeria, within the South-east geopolitical zone of the country. It is bounded by Oru East LGA, Isu, Mbaitolu, Orlu, and Nkwerre Local Government Area. The headquarters of Njaba LGA is located in the town of Nnenasa.

Njaba LGA has an area of 84 square kilometers. According to the 2006 census, it had a population of 143,485 inhabitants. The population density projection for 2011 was estimated to be 2,004.5 inhabitants per square kilometer. The estimated population of Njaba LGA is put at 173,608 inhabitants.

Njaba LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Amazano, Egwedu, Attah, Ibelle, Achara, Isiozi, Umuaka, and Ugbelle. The majority of the population in Njaba LGA belongs to the Igbo ethnic group. The Igbo language is commonly spoken in the area. The postal code of Njaba LGA is 474.
