History of Nkanu West Local Government  Area, Enugu State

Headquarters is situated in the town of Agbani. The local government council is in charge of public administration, economic and social development and social development within the under-listed communities.It is home to the Ani Ozalla Lake and Shrine, a natural lake with crocodiles. These crocodiles are deified and worshipped by the locals.
