History Of Odeda

Odeda Local Government Area is a Local Government Area and town in Ogun State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters of Odeda Local Government Area is located in the town of Odeda, situated on the A5 highway at 7°13′00″N 3°31′00″E. Odeda covers a total land area of 1,560 square kilometers.

The local government is bounded at Bakatare, a small village close to Oyo State, and at Alogi, a significant urban center that marks the boundary from Abeokuta-South.

According to the 2006 census, Odeda had a population of 109,449 inhabitants. Odeda Local Government Area comprises several towns, including Ogboye, Ogeleje, Ogunbayo, Oluga, Olugbo, Rogun Rogun, Sokan, Agbe, Baagbon, Bangboye, Ego, and Fagbemi. The postal code of the area is 110.
