History Of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni

Ogba–Egbema–Ndoni (ONELGA) Local Government Area is in Rivers State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters of ONELGA are located in the town of Omoku.

ONELGA is bounded by Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, and Anambra States. It shares borders with Ahoada West, Ahoada East, and Emohua Local Government Areas of Rivers State. According to the 2006 Census, ONELGA has a population of approximately 258,700 people. The recent estimates suggest that the population has grown to around 400,000 people.

The major ethnic groups in ONELGA are the Ogba, Egbema, and Ndoni people.Additionally, there are significant populations of Igbo, Ogoni, and other ethnic groups residing in the area. The predominant languages spoken in ONELGA are those of the Ogba, Egbema, and Ndoni ethnic groups.
