History Of Ogbadibo

Ogbadibo Local Government Area is in Benue State, located in the North Central geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of Ogbadibo Local Government Area is in the town of Otukpa. Ogbadibo LGA is divided into three districts: Orokam, Owukpa, and Otukpa.

Ogbadibo LGA has an area of 598 km2. According to the 2006 census, Ogbadibo had a population of 128,707. The estimated current population is put at approximately 232,001 inhabitants. Ogbadibo shares borders with Okpokwu LGA and parts of Kogi and Enugu states.

The area is mostly inhabited by members of the Idoma ethnic group. The Idoma language is extensively spoken in Ogbadibo LGA.
