History Of Ohafia

Ohafia Local Government Area is a local government area in Abia State, Nigeria. It is located in the northern part of the state and has its headquarters in the town of Ohafia. The LGA is made up of several towns and villages, including Abiriba, Abriba-Ohafia, Arochukwu, Elu Ohafia, and Umuokpara. The main economic activities in the area include farming, fishing, and trading. The people of Ohafia LGA are primarily of the Igbo ethnic group and they speak the Igbo language. Ohafia is known for being the home of the Arochukwu people and the Arochukwu Long Juju, a traditional religious shrine.

It is bordered by Afikpo North LGA to the north, Abakaliki LGA to the east, Bende LGA to the south and Isiala Ngwa North LGA to the west.
