History Of Olorunda

Olorunda is a Local Government Area in Osun State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in Igbona, on the outskirts of the state capital Osogbo. Olorunda has an area of 97 km⊃2;. The population of Olorunda was 131,761 at the 2006 census. Olorunda is bordered by the local government areas of Irepodun, Egbedore, Odo Otin, and Ifelodun.

Olorunda has a population of over 130,000 people, with the majority being Yoruba. The main occupation of the people is farming, with the main crops grown being cocoa, yam, and cassava.
