History Of Ondo East

Ondo East Local Government Area in Ondo State, Nigeria, with its administrative headquarters situated in the town of Bolorunduro. The local government occupies an area of approximately 896 square kilometers.

Ondo East Local Government Area is bordered by the Idanre, Ondo West, and Ile-Oluji Local Government Areas, as well as parts of Osun State. The towns and villages that constitute Ondo East LGA include Oboto, Owena, Obadere, Ajegunle, Tekunle, Bomodeloku, Leruku, Omunutun, and Tolagbola.

The current estimated population of Ondo East LGA is put at 227,908 inhabitants. The area is mostly populated by members of the Yoruba ethnic group.
