History Of Onna

Onna Local Government Area located in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The name "Onna" is derived from an acronym formed by the names of the four predominant clans in the area: Oniong, Nnung Ndem, Awa Afaha, and Awa. The LGA is composed of several towns and villages, including Oniong, Nnung Ndem, Awa, Afaha, Ikot Idem Udo, Iquita, Ikot Ndua Iman, Ikot Nkan, and Ndon Eyo.

The estimated population of Onna LGA is approximately 108,713 inhabitants. The majority of the population is made up of members of the Onna ethnic group. The Onna language is commonly spoken in the area.
