History Of Oshimili North

Oshimili North Local Government Area is located in Delta State, South-south geopolitical zone, Nigeria. The local government was formed in 1997; previously part of the old Oshimili Local Government Area. The headquarters is in Akwukwu-Igbo.

Some of the towns and villages includes Ogwashi-uku, Ubulu, Okpanam, Ugbolu, Oko Okwe, Nsukwa, Ibusa. The estimated population is 304,800 inhabitants. The LGA is mainly inhabited by members of the Anioma ethnic group and  Anioma languages are spoken in the LGA.
