History Of Oshimili South

Oshimili South Local Government Area is located in Delta State, South-south geopolitical enclave of Nigeria. The headquarters is in Asaba. Some of the towns and villages include Asaba, Ebu, Illah, Okwe, Oko, Eze, Otuogwu, Elenchele, Anwai, and others.

The Local government population is approximately 603,413 inhabitants (current estimate). It is primarily populated by members of the Anioma ethnic division. The Anioma dialects are commonly spoken in Oshimili South LGA.
