History Of Rimi

Rimi Local Government Area is situated in Katsina State, Nigeria, within the North-West geopolitical zone of the country. The headquarters of Rimi LGA is located in the town of Rimi.

According to the 2006 census, Rimi LGA had a population of 153,744 people. However, the estimated population is reported as 183,098 inhabitants. The LGA covers an area of 452 square kilometers.

Rimi LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Fardami, Magama, Tzegero, Rimi, Masabo, Karare, Eka, and Abukar. The majority of the inhabitants in Rimi LGA are reported to be members of the Fulani ethnic group.
