History Of Roni

Roni Local Government Area is situated in Jigawa State, Nigeria, within the Northwest geopolitical zone of the country. The LGA headquarters is located in the town of Roni. Roni LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Baragumi, Gora, Gadare, Kumeji, Pandako, Warpawa, Gasakoli, and Dagasawa.

Roni LGA covers an area of 322 square kilometers. According to the 2006 census, it had a population of 77,819 inhabitants. The estimated current population is approximately 164,894 inhabitants, indicating significant population growth over the years.

The majority of the population in Roni LGA belongs to the Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups. As such, the Hausa language is commonly spoken throughout the area. The postal code of Roni LGA is 705.
