History Of Shiroro

Shiroro Local Government Area is situated in Niger State, within the North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA is located in the town of Kuta. The LGA spans an expansive area of 5,015 square kilometers (1,936 square miles).

According to the 2006 census, Shiroro LGA had a population of 235,404 inhabitants. The estimated population of the LGA has since increased, with projections indicating around 304,512 residents.

Shiroro LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Kuta, Galkogo, Sunnayu, Jangara, Akwaki, Nugbai, Kulumi, Amuku, and Daboye. Shiroro LGA is home to a diverse array of ethnic groups, including the Nupe, Gbagyi, Kadara, and Koro.
