History Of Tafa

Tafa Local Government Area (LGA) is situated in Niger State, Nigeria, adjacent to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).  The administrative headquarters of Tafa LGA is situated in the town of Wuse.

The LGA covers a land area of approximately 222 square kilometers. According to the 2006 census, Tafa LGA had a population of 83,544 inhabitants. The current estimated population of Tafa LGA is around 159,005 residents.

Tafa LGA shares boundaries with parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The LGA is adjacent to areas such as Zuma, Jakoro, Iku, Garam, Ija, Dogan Kurmi, and New Bwari. Tafa LGA is inhabited by members of diverse ethnic affiliations, including the Gbagyi, Koro, and Hausa ethnic groups.
