History Of Tsanyawa

Tsanyawa Local Government Area is located in Kano State, Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA is in the town of Tsanyawa. Tsanyawa LGA covers an area of 492 km⊃2; and had a population of 157,680 according to the 2006 census. The estimated population of the LGA is currently put at 151,412 inhabitants.

The LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Dumbulum, Bumai, Katsale, Kokai, Gurun, Kwandawa, Yanawaki, Farsa, and Baje. The majority of the population in Tsanyawa LGA are members of the Hausa/Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in the area.
