History of Uzo-Uwani Local Government  Area, Enugu State

Its  borders Kogi state and Anambra state. Its headquarters are in the town of Umulokpa. Silicon Valley islocated near the Enugu State University of Technology, Nkpologu campus. The mineral-rich hill is 300 feet above sea level, making it one of the highest elevations in Enugu state.

Unfortunately, this area experienced a bloody terrorist attack on April 25, 2016 in the Nimbo area. Scores were massacred by over 500 heavily armed Fulani herdsmen. This may have been due to the non-effectiveness of the security or lack thereof.
