History Of Yagba East

Yagba East Local Government Area is in Kogi State, Nigeria. The headquarters of the local government are in the town of Isanlu, situated on the A123 highway. Yagba East had an area of 1,396 square kilometers during the 2006 census. The population was reported to be 140,150 in the 2006 census, and it grew to 199,300 by 2016.

The area is made up of several towns and villages, including Ogbon, Ejuku, Alu, Oranre, Panyan, Odo-amu, Idofin, Ijowa, and Irunda. The population of Yagba East is mainly composed of members of the Okun ethnic sub-division of the Yoruba tribe. The Okun dialect of the Yoruba language is commonly spoken in the LGA.
