History Of Zango

Zango Local Government Area in Katsina State, Nigeria, sharing a border with the Republic of Niger. Its headquarters is in the town of Zango in the north of the area at13°05′00″N 8°29′00″E. It has an area of 601 km2 and a population of 154,743 at the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 824

The LGA shares boundaries with parts of the Niger Republic. Towns and villages that make up Zango LGA include Badake, Dargage, Gwamba, Kanda, Walawa, Zango, Yardade, Sara, and Rogogo. The estimated population of Zango LGA is put at 169,532 inhabitants with the area primarily occupied by members of the Hausa/Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and the Fufulde languages are commonly spoken in the LGA.
