10th Assembly: Young Legislators To Pursue Youth Agenda 

About forty-three House of Representatives Members-Elect of the 10th National Assembly to be inaugurated in June under the aegis of Young Legislators have resolved to pursue youth agenda

Member-Elect for Akwanga/Nassarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru made this known on Tuesday in Abuja. 

According to Umaru who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said the caucus are made up of Members-Elect between the age of 40-years and below across the country's different political parties. 

“We have resolved to work together in the interest of the youth constituency who were instrumental to our victory and backbone of the society. 

“We'll pursue youth agenda and ensure that bills  and motions that have direct bearing on their lives are pushed and heard,” the 39-year-old Umaru said. 

Umaru who described the youth agenda as non negotiable added that it has become mandatory considering the support they enjoyed from them. 

The youngest member of the caucus is the 27-year-old Ibrahim Mohammed Bello, a son of Former National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Mohammed Bello Haliru. He was elected to represent Birnin-Kebbi/Kalgo/Bunza Federal Constituency of Kebbi State.
