At least 11 Indonesian migrants have died after drowning in a boat accident which occurred at the southern coast of Malaysia.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) declared that 25 people were missing while 14 survivors were fortunately found. The MMEA added that the boat capsized at about 4:30am on Wednesday, today, at a coast which borders Singapore and Indonesia.
Captain Simon Templer Lo Ak Tusa, the maritime operations deputy director said that the boat was believed to have travelled from Indonesia and capsized after being hit by strong and deadly waves.
The boat accident is the latest disaster on the waterways that have happened between Indonesia and Malaysia in recent years which was caused by overloaded boats carrying individuals who seeks to work in Malaysia.
According to the report from Migrant CARE, it is reported that between 100,000 and 200,000 Indonesians travel illegally to work in Malaysia every year.
