At least 11 people are reported to have died on Saturday when a Polish bus met an accident in northern Croatia.
The Croatian ministry said; "According to preliminary information, 11 people were killed and several others were injured when the bus registered in Poland deviated from the road.
"The bus deviated and fell into a ditch off the highway."
The crash occurred about 60 kilometers from Zagreb on the A-4 highway, which is busy during the peak of the tourist season.
The Croatian police added; “In the skidding of a bus with Polish license plates, according to initial information from the field, 11 people died and several were injured."
Croatia’s state HRT television also reported that about 30 people were injured, many seriously.
It said the most likely cause of the crash was the driver falling asleep.
