11 Wellspring University Benin Students Graduate With First

11 out of the 205 students of Wellspring University, Benin, conferred with Bachelor’s and Higher Degrees have graduated with First Class Honours at its third combined convocation ceremony in Benin.

41 graduated with Second Class Upper, 70 with Second Class Lower, and 12 finished with Third Class honours.

71 students in different disciplines also bagged postgraduate degrees.

The wife of Edo Governor, Betsey Obaseki and Rosemary Osula-Atu, Founder/President of Rosula Foundation were also conferred with honourary degrees during the event.

While addressing the graduating students, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Ajayi said the vision of the university from the time of its founding fathers which includes moulding a generation of Nigerians for global development still drives it.

The VC stated that all the programmes run by the institution were accredited, noting that the university's staff and physical facilities had been expanded.

Ajayi added that preparations had been made for the inclusion of five new courses from the next academic session.

“In implementing the renewed policy of driving education with innovation and creativity, the curricula of all courses in the university have been reviewed with the infusion of innovation-driven courses relevant to industries and IT.

“This is with special emphasis on practical exposure of the students through laboratory experiments, internship and field trips,” he said.
