Giving the names of the personalities to be awarded, he gave Princess Rosemary Osula-Atu and Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of LoveWorld ministries also known as Christ Embassy.

Ezemonye noted the increase in the number of undergraduates and postgraduate programmes.

“The National Universities Commission (NUC), approved additional six undergraduate and five postgraduate programmes following a successful resource verification

“By this development, Igbinedion University now runs 55 undergraduate programmes in 34 departments and 24 postgraduate programmes.

” The institution has signed partnership agreements with three Ukrainian universities for joint educational programmes.

“The partnership would enable students displaced by the ongoing war in Ukraine to continue their academic programme in IUO under the strict compliance with the NUC guidelines on transnational education,” he said.

“Similarly, a new auditorium with 3,000 sitting capacity is nearing completion, while an ultra-modern hotel complex to serve the needs of the university guests to Okada is ongoing,” he further explained.
