139 Trucks Of Grains, Other Relief Materials Dispatched To K

Thousands of relief materials have been dispatched to Katsina State by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.

This move follows a motion presented on the Senate floor by a senator representing the Katsina Central Senatorial District, requesting help for those who have been displaced in the state by insurgent activities.

The relief materials dispatched include tomato pastes, vegetable oil, beans, rice, garri, mattresses, nylon mats, blankets, plastic buckets, and so forth.

The materials were given to the Katsina State Government for the distribution of the materials to the affected people in affected communities and Local Government Areas (LGAs) like Danmusa, Dutsinma, Batsari, Faskari, Safana, Batagarawa, Sabuwa, and Kankara.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sa’adiyya Umar Farouk also said that President Muhammadu Buhari had also approved the distribution of 139 trucks of various grains from the National Food Reserve.
