According to Sahara Reporters, operatives of the Western Security Network, a.k.a. Amotekun, apprehended the 16 men who confessed that they were going to Igbo Nla village and the Old Oyo National Park to cause mayhem.
The arrest was confirmed by the Oyo State Chapter of Amotekun, and they revealed that the men had been handed over to the Atiba Divisional Police Headquarters for further questioning and prosecution.

"They claimed to have come from Sokoto State. They are suspected to be here in furtherance of the reprisals on the Hausa-Yoruba clashes Shasha market, whose tension is just gradually dying down."
