165 indigent Law students on different campuses of the Nigerian Law School college have received bursaries from the Enugu State Government
The beneficiaries of the college grants were listed by students during their conversation with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at the Government House in Enugu on Thursday.
The Executive Secretary, Enugu State Scholarship Board, Uche Abonyi confirmed the payment of the bursaries of 100,000 each to the beneficiaries through his office.
He encouraged the students to represent the state well wherever they find themselves.
“Always have our dear state, Enugu, in your prayers for the sustenance of peace, security and good governance entrenched by Gov. Ugwuanyi’s administration,” he urged.
The leader of the Law students, Michael Kenechukwu Onah reacting to the gesture on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed his appreciation for the Governor's humility and kindness.
Onah, who described the grant as “a privilege and not a right”, promised that the students would make the Governor round in their final examination in August 2022, assuring the governor of their prayers, solidarity and support.
