Police Operatives have arrested 18-year-old Mamus Obine along the Ughelli/Warri road in Delta State.
The Police revealed they recovered one locally made double barrel pistol and ten live cartridges from the suspect.
It was learnt that the police were on a stop and search patrol and on sighting the police, the suspect alighted from the motorcycle and ran into a nearby bush. The police ran after him and in the process, he was arrested.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
Investigation revealed that the suspect confessed that he was after one Kingsley, who defrauded him of the sum Eight Hundred Thousand Naira (#800,000) from the internet, and that he was going to attack him with the gun when the police intercepted and arrested him," the statement read in part.
