The Kaduna State Government has disclosed that over 20 individuals were killed during attacks by bandits on several villages in the Giwa Local Government Area of the state.
Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs said in a statement that bandits' attack left more than 20 residents dead with several houses and cars burnt.
The governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, expressed sadness over the incident as he sends his condolences to the families of the victims.
Security forces have sustained patrols in the state and the identities of the victims would be published once the government confirms further details.
