President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that revenue generation remains the biggest challenge faced by his administration.
Making this disclosure while delivering the 2021 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly on Thursday, Buhari said that he has ordered ministers to closely and strictly monitor revenue generation agencies under their supervision.

Lamenting that revenue generation was a problem for his administration, Buhari said, “revenue generation remains our biggest challenge.”
Further pointing out that his administration is spending more on recurrent expenditure, Buhari who blamed ghost workers, and the introduction of unauthorized allowances by ministries, departments, and agencies, ordered heads of the MDAs to get approval before any recruitment.

Receiving President Buhari, the Senate President Ahmad Lawan, however, promised that the National Assembly would pass the Budget before the end of 2020.
