2021 WWE Wrestlemania Highlights And Results

2021 WWE Wrestlemania Highlights And Results

Wrestlemania 37 lived up to the hype as it turned out to be the biggest night in sports entertainment, especially the Universal title match featuring Roman Reigns, Edge, and Daniel Bryan.

From the return of Bray Wyatt's The Fiend (who squared off against Randy Orton) to newcomer Bianca Belair making her debut on "biggest stage of them all", this year's Wrestlemania was action-packed and thrilled fans in more ways than expected.

Below are the results of the event:

The Fiend vs. Randy Orton: After weeks of Alexa Bliss haunting and taunting the Legend Killer, Bray Wyatt's The Fiend looked to end him for good in a contest with two of WWE's most dangerous superstars.

After The Fiend was able to ward off Orton's early attack, he locked in the Mandible Claw but Orton was able to escape, striking with a DDT which had no impact on his opponent.

Orton got his much-needed break when he succeeded in slamming the face of The Fiend into the box. The Fiend tried to unleash the Sister Abigail but was distracted by the fire that shot from the ring posts. For a moment, he looked at Alexa Bliss (who had black goo streaming down her face), and the Viper struck, hitting his opponent with the RKO to score the win.

Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler vs. Natalya & Tamina (Women's Tag Team Championship Match): Two teams of talented women superstars featured in what was an interesting match, with Baszler getting isolated with a series of tags, culminating in a near fall.

A major moment in the contest was when Natalya was hit with the one-arm spinebuster by Jax. She was saved by Tamina who got tagged in hit Baszler with everything she had, getting the upper hand.

The match came to its conclusion when Baszler locked her submission clutch, winning her and Jax the contest.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami ZaynTwo best friends-turned-rivals fought after Zayn's unexpected assault on Owens recently. Physically, Owens had the advantage, and this showed in the early goings.

There was only one way this match was going to end, and despite the fact that the crafty Zayn gave his opponent a tough time, it was Owens who emerged victorious, thanks to a pair of superkicks and a stunner.

Riddle vs. Sheamus (United States Championship Match): Riddle has been on a roller coaster ride, stacking up victories in the WWE. But this would prove to be his greatest test yet. It was Sheamus who got off to a major offensive start, unleashing strike after strike before Riddle was able to perform a suplex and make a comeback.

Sheamus stopped Riddle's comeback but the smaller man didn't give up as the two men continued to battle, with the former getting a near fall. Riddle put up a good fight but fell to Sheamus's midair Brogue Kick, earning the latter a victory.

Big E vs. Apollo Crews (Intercontinental Championship Match): Big E didn't waste time going for the offensive and sent Crews crashing through some of the drums at the ringside.

Crews tried to match his opponent's fierce attacks but missed a major moment when his attempt to hit a splash failed. This looked to be the chance Big E was waiting for but he was denied his win by Dabba Kato who ran in and hit him with a chokeslam, placing Crews on top of him for the three count.

Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley (Raw Women's Championship Match): The opponents seemed evenly matched in the early goings both hit each other with offensive strikes, looking for the advantage.

Asuka was taken to the top rope but fired off a series of elbows to initiate a missile dropkick. Ripley got a big break when she was able to dropkick the champion from the top rope to outside the ring. She then drove Asuka shoulder first into the ring apron.

Ripley countered Asuka's armlock, making the latter break the hold. Seconds later, Ripley avoided a kick, hitting her signature Riptide move to win the title.

Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan (Universal Championship Match): The match commenced and the champion went straight for the Rated R superstar. As the three men brawled, the fight was taken outside the ring, with Jey Uso interfering by landing a superkick to Bryan.

The match was nothing short of thrilling, with many highlights (each of the three men had their moments). A turning moment was when Edge got hold of a steel chair and attacked Bryan with it. At this point, Uso got involved again, getting a spear from Edge for his trouble.

Reigns got back to his feet and unleashed a spear on Edge and hit con-chairto, putting Edge on top of Bryan to pin both men as he retained the title.
