2022 U-19 Volleyball AFCON: Nigeria Brush Aside Egypt To Retain Trophy

Nigeria's U-19 Volleyball team defeated Egypt 3-0 to win the Africa Cup of Nations Volleyball Championship trophy in Morocco on Sunday.

Nigeria have now won the trophy for the second consecutive time asserting its dominance in Africa.

It was a dominant display from the Nigerian team, who won the first set 25-20, the second and third sets ended in their favour 25 -18 and 31-29, respectively.

Nigeria's trio of Abdulaziz Aliyu, Elisha Anebi, and Raheem Olayemi were named in the Dream Team Of the tournament.

Abdulaziz Aliyu was voted the Most Valuable Player, Raheem Olayemi was named Best outside, and Elisha Anebi was named the best setter.

Nigeria and Egypt have now qualified for the 2023 U-19 Volleyball World Cup.
