2023: Actor Okon Lagos Reveals Why Jonathan Should Not Join Presidential Race

Amid rumours that former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan may join the 2023 presidential race, actor Okon Lagos has advised him not to.

The Nollywood star whose real name is Ime Bishop Umoh took to his official Instagram account on Thursday to tell Goodluck Jonathan why he shouldn't bother returning as the nation's first citizen.

According to Okon Lagos, too much damage has been done and there is little Jonathan can do to fix the situation of things.

The actor buttressed his point by using renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo to illustrate an instance of the Portuguese striker being substituted into a game where his team is losing by 7 goals to nil with just 2 minutes extra time.

Okon Lagos concluded by advising the politician to remain the legend and hero he is and "duck the bait".

"Goodluck is being wooed to run for president again. Abeg, your Excellency as it may be, don't. Too much damage is done and there is too little you can do to fix it in just a short term.

"Imagine bringing in Ronaldo in 90+2 mins to turn around the fortunes of a team that is down by 7 nil! What will he do? Magic???

"Remain the legend and hero you are, sir. Duck the bait!", the actor wrote.
