2023: Allow Election To Hold In Southeast — Ohanaeze Ndigbo To IPOB

2023: Allow Election To Hold In Southeast — Ohanaeze Ndigb

Apex Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has pleaded with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to allow the 2023 general elections hold in the southeast.

IPOB had through its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, said elections in Nigeria are contrary to its mission.

But Ohanaeze’s spokesperson, Alex Ogbonnia, is asking the outlawed group to have a rethink.

“We appeal to our brothers in IPOB to allow the election to hold.

"Their agitations are understandable but they must not let their anger consume them.

“Even during the turn of (Chukwuma) Soludo, they first refused but when we appealed to them, they listened.

"During the turn of (Willie) Obiano, we appealed to them, and they listened.

"This time around, we want to plead that they also listen to us,” Punch quotes Ogbonnia as saying.
