Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) has approved the constitution of a 61-member contact and strategy committee for the party.
The party made this known in a statement by its National Secretary, John Akpanudoehede, on Monday in Abuja.
According to him, the constitution of the committee was part of efforts by the CECPC to rebuild and reposition the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He added that the committee would be inaugurated by the CECPC Chairman, Governor Mai Mala-Buni, on March 23, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The members of the committee included 12 governors, as well as former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole and Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
