2023: Bala Reiterates Commitment Towards Good Governance In

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has reiterated his commitment towards the provision of good governance in the state.

The governor made this known on Friday shortly after receiving his certificate of return alongside his Deputy, Auwal Jatau and 31 Members-elect of the state's House of Assembly.

Bala commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its officials for their transparency in the conduct of the 2023 general elections.

He also commended the security agencies for the peaceful conduct of the elections. 

In his vote of thanks, the governor appreciated the traditional and religious leaders in the state for their contributions.

He also stressed that now that the campaigns and elections are over, all hands must be put together in ensuring good governance for the people of the state. 

In a statement by Lawal Muazu Bauchi, New Media aide to the governor, on Friday, Governor Bala said the victory has made him more humble.

He added that the victory would neither make him rude nor arrogant, hence, the need to collaborate with all in making the state great. 

Earlier speaking, the Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in charge of Bauchi, Yobe and Borno states, Major General Modibbo Alkali (rtd), reiterated the readiness of the Commission to conduct free, fair and credible elections for the advancement of Nigeria's democracy.
