2023 Election: Kwara Government Declares Friday Work-Free Da

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq

To enable the electorate to prepare for the forthcoming gubernatorial and State Assembly elections, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq has declared Friday, March 17, 2023, a work-free day for civil servants in the state.

The development is contained in a statement signed by the Kwara Head of Service, Susan Oluwole, and made available to the newsmen in Ilorin on Thursday.

Oluwole said the work-free day aimed at allowing workers in the state who need to travel to their local governments to vote to do so in preparation for the March 18 polls.

“The Kwara Governor has graciously approved Friday, 17 March, as a work-free day for the state workforce.

“Workers are therefore advised to freely exercise their voting franchise and be law-abiding, before, during and after the elections,” the statement said.
