2023 Election: Sule Asks Office Holders Contesting Elections

The governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has asked all political and public office holders wishing to contest the various positions in the 2023 general elections to resign on or before April 08, 2022. 

This directive was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Barr. Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu and made available to newsmen on Wednesday. 

The statement dated April 6, 2022, said it was in line with provision of S.84 (12) of the Electoral Act, 2022,signed recently by the President,Muhammadu Buhari.

To this effect, the statements said: ,"Those seeking political position have been advised to put in their resignation as to avoid going contrary to the electoral act."
