2023 Elections: Burna Boy Urges INEC To Avoid Result Manipulation

Burna Boy, the Nigerian music sensation, has finally broken his silence on the ongoing general elections in Nigeria.

In a bid to ensure that the will of the people is upheld, Burna Boy took to his Instagram account on February 26, 2023, to call on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to avoid any result manipulation.

He urged INEC to allow Nigeria to decide for itself, emphasizing the need for transparency in the electoral process.

“Let Nigeria decide o! @inecnigeria. No try any result magic," the post reads.

Burna Boy’s call for electoral transparency comes after some netizens called him out, along with other artists, for their silence during the electoral process.

Given Burna Boy’s music focus on the plight of Nigerians, many expected him to be more vocal during the election.

His last album ‘Love, Damini’ included a track called ‘Common Person’ which highlighted the struggles of the average Nigerian.

However, his failure to walk the talk has led to criticism from many of his listeners.
