The Assistant Inspector General, Zone 11, Osogbo, AIG Sikiru Kayode Akande, has appreciated the electorates in Osun and Oyo States for the peaceful conduct of the polls.
This was contained in a special message on Tuesday obtained by AllNews Nigeria and signed by Ayeni Benjamin, the Spokesperson of the Command.
The gubernatorial election was held in Oyo State while the House of Assembly polls were held in both states on Saturday, March, 18, 2023.
"In as much as no society can develop in a chaotic atmosphere, allowing peace to reign and allowing the electorate to choose candidates of their choice without any forms of intimidation and harassment shows people are ready for growth and national development."
In the same vein, the AIG commended police personnel and other security agencies that participated in the election for their endurance and professionalism in handling every electoral issue.
He wished everyone success in their future endeavours and advised everyone to continue to live in peace.
