2023 Elections: See How Desmond Elliot Celebrated Tinubu’s

Desmond Elliot and Tinubu

Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot has taken to the streets to rejoice over Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election which took place on Saturday, February 25.

He shared a video of himself and others singing along to P-Square’s 2011 hit track ‘Bunieya Enu’ of their fifth studio album ‘The Invasion’.

“Congratulations Naija. Renewed Hope !!! JAGABAN Hope Renewed !!!” Elliot captioned the video.

The choice of song is quite ironic as the musical duo P-Square has been a vocal supporter of Tinubu’s rival, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

INEC declared Bola Tinubu, the candidate of Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, as the winner of Saturday’s presidential election in the early hours of Wednesday in Abuja.

The former Lagos State governor defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election.

He scored a total of 8,794,726 votes, the highest of all the candidates, thus meeting the first constitutional requirement to be declared the winner.

He also scored over 25 percent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.
