As the 2023 governorship election closes in, 25 groups of stakeholders in Adamawa state have endorsed governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his re-election bid.

Some of the groups include the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), and National Council of Women Societies.

The groups made the endorsement public during a meeting with the governor on Monday in Yola, the state's capital.

During the meeting at Lelewal Motel, Yola, the Institute of Governance and Leadership Studies in Africa (IGLSA), showcased the giant strides of Governor Fintiri.

Meanwhile, in their separate remarks, the State's Chairman of the NLC, Emmanuel Fashe and Dr. John Gamsa of IGLSA noted with satisfaction the efforts of Governor Fintiri in the areas of security, education, and civil servants.

This was contained in a statement by Muhammad B. Tukur, New Media aide to the governor.

Also speaking, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Auwal Tukur, said Governor Fintiri has performed extremely well, and re-electing him would mean massive development for the state.

Fintiri urged the people of Adamawa not to allow themselves to fall into backwardness again but reelect him for the continuity of good governance.
