Nollywood star turned politician Funke Akindele has urged citizens to ensure that they exercise their civic duty ahead of the Saturday Presidential and National Assembly elections.
In a recent video posted on her Twitter page, the Battle On Buka Street actress emphasized the importance of voting, adding that does who do not participate in the electoral process are giving bad governance another chance.
The celebrity who is the running mate to PDP Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor said that citizens' votes in the elections will determine the future of Nigeria.
Speaking further, Akindele gave directions on how fans and followers can go about the voting process.
"Hello, everyone. These forthcoming elections are very important to us all and we must exercise our civic duty.
"Yes, we must vote. Because if we do not come out to vote, then we're giving bad governance another chance.
"I don't want that and I'm sure you don't want that either. So, please come out to vote", she stated.
