2023 Elections: Why I Have Remained Silent — Burna Boy

Burna Boy has revealed why he has remained silent as citizens continue to share their opinions on the 2023 election results.

The afrobeat singer, who frequently shares his thoughts on Instagram, stated that he does not understand why Nigerians expect him to be vocal about the elections.

He said that he does not have a preferred candidate and doesn't want to mislead Nigerians into selecting the wrong person and then taking the blame.

Speaking further, the 'Ye' crooner disclosed that he hopes for a free and fair election in which the best man wins.

"I dunno why it's such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections.

"Personally, I don’t have a candidate that I believe in.

"I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life because I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person fucks up as usual.

"That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins", he penned.
